The Birth of PASCOR
	Pacific Asia Overseas Shipping Corporation (PASCOR) is one among the pioneers in the Philippine shipping industry. It was established in 1972 by dedicated people whose mission is to provide the international market with qualified, well trained and disciplined seafarers. Capitalizing this awareness, PASCOR team focused on getting the finest graduates from prestigious shipping schools in the Philippines. With its good standing in business, PASCOR began to attract international principals operating a variety of vessels such as tankers, cargo/containers, offshore vessels, roro passengers, crew boats and bulk carrier. Among its long time partners in the business are Kuwait Oil Tanker Company, Tropical Shipping, International Maritime Services, Arab Petroleum Transport Co., Gulf Services Office, Middle East Navigation Aid Services, Mailboat Company and recently added Atlantic Caribbean Ltd. and North South Marine Management.
	Still Consistent
	PASCOR consider the 80’s as its glory days. It was during this period that it became a giant crew manning service company and was able to send over 5,000 prolific and able bodied seafarers to various international vessels mostly based in the lucrative oil producing region of the Middle East.
		Despite the fierce competition in the market, PASCOR emerged as a strong and stable company. Its offer of fair deal and clean track record kept the company in good position. In 2002, the Phil. Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has awarded Citation to PASCOR “for its initiatives of developing the overseas employment industry, thereby assuming a bigger role in promoting the competence of Filipinos and creating employment opportunities for Filipino seamen.
		POEA also qualified PASCOR to be one of those who can do In-house processing for Overseas Employment Certificate and expanded internet submission or e-link therefore employment contract processing will not be dependent on government offices hence enable PASCOR to deploy on short notice.
		Indeed PASCOR has come a long way from its humble beginning. It has laid the foundations for the Hongkong based Pacific Ace Group.
