The men are given medical and physical exams to make sure that they are able to handle the rigors of life at sea. A long sea voyage brings out the best or the worst in a seaman. Knowing this as a fact, PASCOR prepares its men for the many challenges they will face in a long journey. Each recruit is thus subjected to various seminars and trainings, as well as thorough medical and physical check-ups, to better equip him emotionally, physically, and mentally to face many difficulties. Counseling is extended to PASCOR men who are on home-leave and who need a listening ear. The result is a team of seasoned and highly trained seamen who are respectful and obedient to authority, loyal to their superiors, and at peace with himself and others. |
