PASCOR makes sure that the seafarers it sends to work on the different types of vessels are highly trained in the position they will assume. These training programs are designed to extract the maximum potential from each candidate, and to work with the best of their abilities under minimum supervision with optimum results. All seafarers posses Certificate of Competency under STCW '95 standards.

The men are given medical and physical exams to make sure that they are able to handle the rigors of life at sea. A long sea voyage brings out the best or the worst in a seaman. Knowing this as a fact, PASCOR prepares its men for the many challenges they will face in a long journey. Each recruit is thus subjected to various seminars and trainings, as well as thorough medical and physical check-ups, to better equip him emotionally, physically, and mentally to face many difficulties. Counseling is extended to PASCOR men who are on home-leave and who need a listening ear. The result is a team of seasoned and highly trained seamen who are respectful and obedient to authority, loyal to their superiors, and at peace with himself and others.

Pre-departure seminars are conducted with an emphasis on "Life at Sea & ISM" Besides discussions on the latest suggested seagoing techniques, personal discipline and drug prevention are other topics that are regularly taken up in these seminars. PASCOR crew members are highly trained in survival techniques, first aid, fire fighting, and other important skills in conducting a sage voyage at sea.
